Cannabis Global, Inc.: Cannabis Global Reports Significantly Increased Revenues for the Fiscal Year End – Files Annual Report

LOS ANGELES, CA December 15, 2021, Cannabis Global, Inc., an innovation-oriented company investing in disruptive cannabis technologies, today announced the filing of its annual report for the fiscal year ended August 31, 2021. Revenues for the fiscal year grew to just over $1.6 million, compared to approximately $27,000 for the previous fiscal year.

Growth was attributed to increased sales and distribution of cannabis products across a broad array of product ADVERTISEMENT lines, including cannabis flower, edibles, and concentrates. “We are pleased with the strong growth of our distribution and manufacturing businesses via Northern Lights Distribution and Natural Plant Extract of California, respectively,” commented CEO Arman Tabatabaei.

“The customers generating our growth are ordering consistently into this current fiscal year and in some cases are expanding orders and revenues with us. With strong revenue growth and pending new product introductions we remain confident moving into calendar 2022. Our major emphasis moving forward will be to improve profitability especially relating to our high cost of capital to better ensure our bottom line matches the strength of our revenue growth.” CBGL has recently announced the addition of several new product categories, including solventless extracts, infused cannabis pre-rolls and innovative categories of cannabis edibles, which are expected to be released near or after the new year. Mr. Tabatabaei continued, “While this past fiscal year was a year of acquisition, product development and of positioning our products and distribution efforts into an increasingly competitive California cannabis market, we anticipate this current fiscal year being one of emphasis on profitability, new product introductions and full utilization of our suburban Los Angeles manufacturing and distribution facilities.”

At the Lynwood facility, the Company plans to manufacture various cannabis edibles based on its internally developed intellectual property, including its high melt cannabis edible technologies specifically designed for the temperature extremes of cannabis delivery.

Cannabis Global also plans to utilize its distribution license to capture the entire production and distribution revenue stream relative to products produced at Lynwood. “We are now in a fortunate position to have a strong combination of proprietary technologies for cannabis edibles, licensed manufacturing, and licensed distribution capabilities,” commented Arman Tabatabaei, CEO.

“We plan to begin production and marketing of unique cannabis edibles under the Northern Lights brand name. Since we control both manufacturing and distribution licenses, we will be able to maximize our revenue and profit opportunities. We are particularly excited about our ‘high melt’ technology that allows us to manufacture cannabis edible products with unique thermal protection properties, which we believe offers an advantage relative to the hot Southern California climate and cannabis delivery services, which are certainly growing in popularity.”

Cannabis Global’s product lines to be produced and distributed out of the Lynwood, California facility will be marketed under the Northern Lights brand name. The Company plans to target both the mass market via economy brands and the high end of the edibles marketplace via offerings with exceptionally clean labels based on natural ingredients and solventless extracts. Cannabis Global Acquires Controlling Interest in Cannabis Manufacturer and Distributor Natural Plant Extract – Eyes National Markets for Cannabis Tech

LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESSWIRE / February 17, 2021 / Cannabis Global, Inc. (OTC PINK:CBGL) (‘Cannabis Global’ or the ‘Company’), an emerging operator of disruptive business and technologies in the cannabis and hemp marketplace, today announces it has acquired a 56.4%, controlling interest in Natural Plant Extract (NPE), which operates a licensed cannabis manufacturing and distribution business in Lynwood, California, holding a Type 7 California Manufacturing and a distribution license, allowing for cannabis product distribution anywhere in the state.
‘While this acquisition has the initial focus on California, we believe our technologies have true national implications,’ commented Arman Tabatabaei, Chief Executive Officer. ‘We plan to use the Lynwood NPE operation, combined with our internally developed technologies, as a testbed to launch multi-state operations as soon as possible after the expected removal of cannabis as a Scheduled substance from the federal Controlled Substances Act is completed, and interstate commerce in cannabis is approved by the federal government.’
In September of 2020, the Company acquired 18.8% of NPE, with an additional 18.8% purchased in January of 2021. This most recent agreement, which closed on February 16, 2021, brings Cannabis Global’s ownership to approximately 56.4%, allowing for a controlling position and full consolidation of NPE’s financials under the Cannabis Global corporate umbrella as a wholly owned subsidiary.
Mr Tabatabaei continued, ‘This is a significant event for Cannabis Global and its shareholders,’ commented Arman Tabatabaei, Chief Executive Officer. ‘We plan to fully operate the Natural Plant Extract facility effective immediately with emphasis on product manufacturing and distribution. We are especially excited about the acquisition of the existing Type 7 license, which allows us to produce cannabis products using volatile solvents. The California Department of Public Health and other regulators severely limit the issuance of this type of license. We plan to make full use of the valuable Type 7 asset.’
