Legalization of Cannabis Is Inevitable

There are different routes that U.S. legalization could take. One is the SAFE Banking Act. It initially seemed to be the most likely reform to pass this year, but the act has been held up over concerns that it’s too narrow and financially focused.

The Cannabis Administration and Opportunity Act, a more sweeping reform that includes provisions to help communities and individuals harmed by the war on drugs, has a longer path to approval but is favored by some due to its broader reach.

On March 31, 2021, following New York legalization under the 2021 Marijuana Regulation and Taxation Act,

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer announced he would soon introduce a federal bill to deschedule cannabis, similar to his 2018 Marijuana Freedom and Opportunity Act.

Sources told Politico and other media that a draft of the bill would be introduced on July 14. On July 14, Senator Schumer introduced a discussion draft of the bill.

In the meantime, stock investors aren’t the only ones seeing opportunities. Cannabis company Canopy Growth Corp. just agreed to pay hundreds of millions of dollars to buy a U.S. maker of marijuana gummies that’s conditional on U.S. legalization.

Canopy Chief Executive Officer David Klein said he sees U.S. liberalization as “inevitable.”

ECOX Signs Binding Agreements to Open Engineering and Construction Firm to Drive Canadian PoolCooled™ Commercial Launch

VAN NUYS, Calif., Oct. 14, 2021 Eco Innovation Group, Inc. ECOX an innovative company aggregating investments in

new technologies that promote environmental and social well-being and the advancement of green energy solutions,

is pleased to announce the signing of binding Definitive Agreements for the formation of a Canadian construction

enterprise as well as for the acquisition of the business and equipment of an existing

Canadian construction company through an all-stock transaction.

Eco Innovation Group (ECOX)

On October 4, 2021, the Company entered into an asset purchase agreement with Spruce Construction, Inc.,

an Alberta corporation, and its shareholder, Timothy Boetzkes, to acquire the existing book of business

and physical assets of Spruce Construction, consisting of vehicles and equipment used in the construction industry.

The Company and Mr. Boetzkes have subsequently formed a new Canadian corporation named Spruce Engineering & Construction, Inc., i

n order to deploy those assets in Canada to provide engineering and installation services to support the sale of ECOX’s breakthrough PoolCooled™ Climate Control technology in the Canadian market.

ECOX owns 85% of Spruce Engineering and Construction, Boetzkes owns 10%, and Patrick Laurie, CEO of the Company’s Canadian green technology development subsidiary, owns 5%.

“The acquisition of construction assets in Canada is a concrete step toward generating revenue from the installation of our sustainable energy technology in Canadian homes and businesses,” remarked Julia Otey-Raudes, CEO of Eco Innovation Group. “ECOX’s Canadian construction firm will partner with our previously-announced Canadian technology development arm, ECOIG Canada, to deliver our PoolCooled™ Climate Control technology to the Canadian market.”

Cannabis Global Launches Research Program for Psychedelics Infusions for Foods and Beverages

Cannabis Global, Inc. an innovation-oriented company investing in disruptive cannabis and hemp-related technologies, today announces it has launched a new research initiative to develop methods to infuse food and beverage with psychedelic compounds, such as psilocybin, psilocin, baeocystin, norbaeocystin, aeruginascin, among others, found in many species of mushrooms.

A major component of the program will be the development of new ways to infuse both the psychedelic compounds and fungi components into products to both improve bioavailability and to mask the bitter tastes of the fungus and its components.

It induces both visual and auditory hallucinations. Users have reported seeing bright colored objects. The effects may last up to 6 hours or may extend to 7 hours with higher doses.

“It is an exciting time relative to psychedelics with California beginning to collect signatures toward placing a magic mushroom legalization measure on the 2022 ballot,” commented Arman Tabatabei, chief executive of Cannabis Global.

“This new research program will capitalize on our previous infusion research program where we developed several novel techniques for cannabinoids resulting in the filing of three non-provisional and six provisional patent applications.”

Cannabis Global plans to locate a laboratory within a California jurisdiction that has passed municipal legislation that permits such research.
