Cannabis Global CEO Talks Revenue Growth, New Products and Vertical Integration in Light of Possible Federal Cannabis Legalization

A considerable amount of attention has been focused on the Cannabis sector with two possible congressional actions to create a nationwide legal framework for both recreational and medical cannabis usage. With increased focus on the sector, I thought it would be an excellent time to provide our shareholders with an update on the very positive developments occurring at our company.

Revenue generation: As we have recently announced, our company is beginning to gain traction, which is clearly being seen in the growth of our revenues across multiple sectors. While we have not yet reported results for our most recently closed fiscal quarter, which ended on February 28, we expect the growth patterns we experienced late last year to continue. This revenue growth is being driven by new products entering the market, an increase in our distribution efforts, and the acquisition of numerous new retail dispensary customers throughout California. We expect these trends to not only continue, but to likely accelerate.

Successful revamping of product mix: As the cannabis consumption in the primary metropolitan areas of California has matured, cannabis customers are demanding a variety of new products. We have followed one of the major growth trends in the industry and revamped our product offerings accordingly. Our Live Rosin products, which are produced without any solvents, continue to gain strong traction with multiple orders coming into the company. As a result, we have significantly geared up our manufacturing capability in this area. We are expecting the solventless trend to accelerate as we move throughout 2022.

Product line acquisitions: We recently announced the acquisition of several product lines from a successful branding and marketing group, Caliwanna. These grants are now being marketed through Cannabis Global and we are working with Caliwanna‘s staff to immediately bring our current products to a much wider dispensary audience throughout California. This will include not only our solventless extract products, but also Live Rosin infused pre-rolls, and cannabis infused edibles.

Vertical integration: While we are more than pleased with our current revenue growth rate, our newly designed products, and our enhanced sales, marketing and distribution capabilities, it is our belief that in order to be truly competitive in the crowded California cannabis sector companies must have elements of vertical integration in order to maintain competitive cost models. Towards this end, we are working quickly to create vertical integration especially related to sourcing raw materials for our solventless products.

Moving forward through the rest of 2022:

We are very optimistic about our future and the rest of this year. We believe we now have the correct mix of technologies, products, and markets to expand further on our already considerable successes over the past few quarters.

Operational Highlights for the Period Ended Feb 28, 2022

Signed definitive agreement with Caliwanna brands for comprehensive marketing and sales integration as well as to acquire Caliwanna cannabis brands Summarily restructured short-term convertible debt to reduce dilution risk and position company on more favorable capital terms Announced intention to apply for additional patent protection for its unique inventions for the creation of nanoparticles and nanofibers made for cannabinoids Laid foundation for the launch of an expanded suite of edibles products

Management notes that the Company has witnessed very strong topline revenue growth over the past two quarters as it ramps up commercial stage operations. That growth has been driven by a range of new products recently introduced into the marketplace as well as a widening of the Company’s distribution footprint. Revenue growth is also being driven by the Company’s acquisition of new customers in the retail dispensary space in California. The Company has also benefited from revamping the Cannabis Global product mix to better reflect emerging trends in major California metro areas as these cannabis markets have matured.

Management notes that its recent increased focus on the “solventless” trend has been an important factor, and the Company expects that trend to continue to be a key factor this year. Tabatabaei added, “We have made some key acquisitions that will shape our performance ahead, which we believe will feature accelerating growth. Cannabis Global in Definitive Agreement to Acquire Caliwanna

LOS ANGELES, CA March 14, 2022 Cannabis Global, Inc. announces the signing of a definitive agreement between the Company and the owners of Caliwanna brands for comprehensive marketing and sales integration and acquisition of the Caliwanna cannabis brands.

Today, the benefits of hemp-based batteries and how a group of American and Canadian researchers used hemp bast fiber (the inner bark of the plant that usually ends up in landfill) to develop a battery that has been used in cars and power tools.

According to Return to Now, the researchers “cooked the woody pulp and processed them into carbon nanosheets, which they used to build supercapacitors on a par with or better than graphene which is the industry gold standard.”

Is this new?

No. But with continued research and development, who knows where hemp will take us in 2022 and beyond.

B efore we go back to the future, let’s take a look at how this research team used these fibers and recycled them into supercapacitors.

The woody pulp from the hemp fiber was cooked and processed into carbon nanosheets. These nanosheets are used to build something called supercapacitors.

Supercapacitors are used as energy storage systems. We see these storage systems in the form of batteries that we use to power up different things we use in everyday life.

What we may not know is that “scientists have long struggled developing energy solutions and capacitors that can keep up with the current rate of electronic component evolution.

While we are able to store a large amount of energy in certain types of (non-hemp) batteries, those batteries are very large, very heavy, and charge and release their energy relatively slowly.”

In reality, hemp batteries are designed to work differently than lithium-ion batteries. Researchers term batteries made from hemp as ‘supercapacitors.’

Hemp batteries are referred to as supercapacitors. According to High Grade Hemp Seed, “it’s best to think of a battery-powered car or truck. They need a steady amount of electric energy as they drive down a country road.

However, if that car stops at a red light, the battery will need a big burst of energy when the light turns green to get going again. Lithium-ion batteries are great at storing energy for a long time and expending it slowly.

However, they are not so good at rapidly releasing a large amount of energy, like what a car needs when a red light turns green.” Supercapacitors are good at performing this function. “These types of batteries can discharge their entire load of energy quickly to provide a big boost of energy. That’s exactly what an electric vehicle needs to accelerate quickly. While supercapacitors don’t hold a charge for long, they can absorb regenerative energy from braking.”

The research team, led by Chemical Engineer Dr. David Mitlin of Clarkson University, NY, believed “replacing lithium batteries with hemp would make electric cars and other gadgets” we use in everyday life more sustainable.

Who doesn’t want sustainability?

Especially if you’re one of the lucky ones to have an electric car. Most auto batteries today are made from lithium-ion, an expensive material, so replacing lithium batteries with hemp would make electric cars more sustainable. Now let’s take a look at the benefits of hemp-based batteries, as noted by highhempgradeseed.com: — High Energy Density: Energy density refers to the amount of energy a battery can hold based on its weight.

The higher energy density a battery has, the stronger the battery.

A 2016 study conducted by Carbon found that hemp-based batteries contained an energy density of 19.8 Watt-hours per kilogram. — Cost: One of the benefits of using hemp over graphene is that hemp batteries can be made using hemp waste that hemp farmers don’t need. This makes hemp both easy to find and much cheaper than graphene. Over the next decades, the world is going to need a lot of batteries to power its vehicles, homes, and cities.

Cheaper batteries made with hemp could keep the cost of this transition much lower. — Availability: Graphene is a versatile “it” material that is finding its way in everything from silicon chips to solar cells and, of course, batteries. However, one of the biggest downsides of graphene is that it is difficult to make in large quantities. Hemp, on the other hand, can grow to maturity in a few months and is known for its ability to grow in many different types of soil, including soils that cannot sustain other crops. — Superconductivity: Batteries need to conduct electricity with as little resistance as possible.

The more resistant a material is to conductivity, the less efficient the battery will be. Hemp-based batteries showed extremely good conductivity. — Temperature Resistance: The conductivity of hemp batteries remains high even in hot and cold temperatures according to the original study on hemp-based batteries.

This is especially important when considering that this technology could one day find itself in vehicles that need to function in searing summer heat as well as icy winter weather.

Is there anything hemp can’t do? We’d like to think there’s nothing hemp can’t do. Simply put, hemp has been the past, present and is definitely the future.

Active Health Foods, Inc. announces joint venture with the Hub Craft, a licensed Massachusetts cannabis cultivator.

LOS ANGELES, CA January 6, 2022, Cannabis Global, Inc. and Active Health Foods, Inc. today announce the cannabis consumer brands to be included in their recently announced letter of intent to create a joint venture with the Hub Craft, a licensed and permitted Massachusetts cannabis cultivation, manufacturing, and retail company.

The proposed joint venture plans to bring the following Hub Craft brands into the California marketplace. 1. Freeway Cannabis by Rick Ross 2. Payton’s Place by NBA Star Gary Payton 3. TRUTH34 brand via Paul Pierce, 10x NBA All-Star, aka ‘The Truth’. The brand will include flower, vapes, bubble hash, pre-rolls, and edibles. 4. Whoopi Goldberg’s brand “Emma & Clyde” to include pre-rolls, flower, vapes, and edibles from the health-conscious brand “Emma & Clyde”.

Under the terms of the proposed joint venture, Cannabis Global, Active Health and The Hub Craft will form a California corporation to enter the California cannabis marketplace. In addition to being granted exclusive licenses on all Hub Craft products, branding, and associated technologies for the State of California, the joint venture will be provided an option to purchase a 51% controlling position in Hub Craft anytime within nine months of the effective date of the joint venture for a price of $15 million.

“Our Company, Cannabis Global, will add the licensed California cannabis component to this proposed joint venture. We are proud to add these brand names to the endeavor”, commented Arman Tabatabaei, CEO of Cannabis Global. “The California market is highly competitive, and branding is more important than ever. While the executives of the companies have agreed to the proposed initial terms of the joint venture to address the California market as outlined in the non-binding letter of intent, no definitive agreement has been signed. Moreover, there are still a considerable number of details to be worked out before the companies would be able to finalize an agreement. Thus, there can be no assurance a transaction as contemplated will ultimately take place.
