A Decade of Hemp Innovation: Inspirational Technologies’ Journey and Next Chapter

A Decade of Hemp Innovation: Inspirational Technologies’ Journey and Next Chapter

This is my past, present, and future vision by Steven M. Smith, Founder & CEO of Inspirational Technologies – September 2025 – Over a decade ago, Inspirational Technologies set out to combine natural wellness with advanced science, and now we’re taking a bold leap forward. Founded in 2013 by Steven Smith, our journey began as a small Florida startup with a mission to connect traditional botanical remedies with modern technology. From those modest beginnings, we’ve evolved into a leader in hemp-based innovation, driven by resilience, discovery, and a strong sense of purpose. Today, we’re thrilled to unveil a new chapter for Inspirational Technologies—building on our foundation and embracing the future of hemp and cannabinoids to bring relief to even more people.

2013–2015: Laying the Groundwork

In the early years (2013–2015), we laid critical groundwork. Steven Smith’s background in plant sciences and passion for holistic health drove the initial focus on researching plant-based compounds, particularly those in hemp and other medicinal herbs. We were essentially a research lab with a big dream: to validate traditional botanical remedies using rigorous modern science. During this time, we established an education hub on our website (InspirationalTech.org) to share research updates and demystify hemp for the public. This proved vital in combating public misconceptions, as many people at the time still conflated hemp with psychoactive cannabis. Indeed, throughout the 20th century, stigma and prohibition had severely complicated cannabis research, and in the early 2010s hemp was legally categorized alongside narcotics despite its lack of THC. Navigating this environment was challenging – regulations were murky, funding was limited, and we often had to explain that hemp isn’t about “getting high,” but about healing. Challenges: Regulatory uncertainty was the toughest hurdle in our infancy. Government rules around cannabis research were ambiguous or restrictive, making it difficult to source materials and secure funding. Public perception was another obstacle; early on, some investors and consumers were wary, not yet educated on the difference between non-intoxicating hemp compounds and marijuana. We tackled these challenges through education and transparency. By openly sharing scientific findings and safety data on our website and in community seminars, we started changing minds.
In 2014, our persistence paid off: we secured our first private investment, providing much-needed R&D capital, and validated our vision to those who believed in the potential of cannabinoids. That same year we launched our website as a content hub, positioning Inspirational Technologies as a trustworthy voice explaining the science of CBD and hemp. This focus on education built credibility and began eroding the stigma.
Successes: Despite the headwinds, by 2015 we had established a solid foundation. We had a small lab, a growing network of academic collaborators, and early data hinting at hemp’s therapeutic promise. For example, our team initiated studies on hemp-derived compounds and their effects on conditions like inflammation and anxiety, drawing on expertise from university partners. These academic collaborations not only guided our research but also validated our early findings in peer-reviewed settings, showing that our work was on the right track. We closed 2015 with optimism – and a budding reputation as pioneers willing to push botanical science into new territory.

2016–2018: Expanding into Hemp and Cannabinoids

By the mid-2010s, cannabidiol (CBD) was gaining mainstream attention as a potential wellness game-changer. Research interest in CBD was exploding worldwide, and public awareness of hemp’s benefits was on the rise. Inspirational Technologies embraced this momentum and shifted focus squarely onto hemp-derived cannabinoids. This period marked our evolution from a general plant research startup into a dedicated hemp innovation company.
Research Milestones: Between 2016 and 2018, we embarked on ambitious studies of CBD’s potential health benefits. Our research teams (now working with medical scientists) explored how CBD could help reduce anxiety, alleviate inflammation, and even act as a neuroprotective agent for the brain. Early results were promising: for instance, preliminary experiments suggested CBD had notable anti-inflammatory effects (supporting what many others were finding), and could modulate stress responses in animal models. We weren’t alone in these discoveries – around this time scientific literature was burgeoning with cannabinoid research. Academic partners working with us published validating findings, adding credibility. The scientific community was confirming what we believed: CBD and related cannabinoids held real therapeutic promise. Notably, evidence began emerging that CBD might provide relief in anxiety without the downsides of THC. (In fact, a few years later a clinical trial would show CBD can quell anxiety symptoms effectively without impairment.) The more data we gathered, the more confident we became that our path was the right one. [CBD shown…e with THC], [CBD shown…e with THC]
Product Development: Research findings quickly fed into product ideas. By 2017, we had developed our first prototypes of CBD-infused wellness products, including a topical cream for pain relief and a tincture (oral drops) for stress and general wellness. Formulating these was an exciting step from lab bench to real-world application. We sourced high-quality hemp extracts and combined them with synergistic herbs, leveraging our roots in botanical science to create unique blends. Each prototype was tested for safety and efficacy in small trials. The feedback from early testers was encouraging – users reported less joint pain after applying the cream, and better sleep with the tincture. This R&D phase taught us about effective dosing, bioavailability (for example, how well the body absorbs CBD in different forms), and user preferences. It set the stage for the full product line we’d launch once the regulatory coast was clear.
Obstacles: If you rewind to 2017, selling a hemp-based product was not straightforward. Federal law still treated hemp extracts in a gray zone, which made distribution and marketing a tricky affair. We could develop products and even give out samples, but large-scale sales were hampered by legal ambiguity. Shipping CBD across state lines lived in a legal limbo – technically hemp was still a Schedule I substance federally, even though it has no high-inducing THC. This meant we had to proceed carefully and focus on states with clear hemp programs. We also had to be very cautious about marketing language, avoiding any medical claims that could draw ire from regulators (the FDA had started warning companies about unproven claims). Yet, we persisted, keeping our operations lean and compliant. We engaged with industry groups advocating for hemp law reform, and continuously educated lawmakers and the public on CBD’s safety. All of this groundwork positioned Inspirational Technologies to spring ahead when the law finally caught up with science. [What Does…usinesses?], [What Does…usinesses?]
A Turning Point – Legalization: Late 2018 brought the breakthrough we and the entire industry had been waiting for. The U.S. Congress passed, and the President signed, the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 the “Farm Bill” (see our story)
December 2018 – The Farm Bill Legalized Hemp

2019–2022: Growth through innovation and Partnerships

With legal clarity achieved, Inspirational Technologies moved full speed from R&D into the marketplace. The period from 2019 to 2022 was one of rapid growth, new partnerships, and establishing our leadership in the hemp wellness space. We transitioned from a small startup into a recognized brand with a national reach.

Commercial Launch: In early 2019, we officially launched our first line of CBD-based wellness products to the public. The line included the refined versions of our topical CBD cream and sublingual tincture, now branded under the Inspirational Technologies banner, as well as capsules and an all-natural CBD balm. We leveraged e-commerce and select health store partnerships for distribution. The timing was perfect: consumer interest in CBD had exploded, and people were eager to try these newly legal remedies. In fact, by 2020 nearly one-third of U.S. adults had used a CBD product, a huge leap in adoption from just 14% in 2019. We were ready to meet the demand with products formulated on a foundation of science and quality. Each batch was lab-tested for purity and potency, and we published the results online to continue building trust through transparency.

Partnership with hempSMART:
A key milestone in this phase was our strategic partnership with hempSMART in 2019.
HempSMART – a California-based company known for its science-driven CBD formulations – shared a similar ethos with us. By partnering, we aimed to combine our strengths: Inspirational Technologies’ research and product innovation, with hempSMART’s established marketing channels and customer base. Together, we celebrated on product development and education. For example, we co-hosted webinars featuring experts like Paula Vetter (hempSMART’s medical advisor) to inform consumers about CBD’s benefits. This partnership expanded our reach across the U.S. and even into international markets where hempSMART had a presence. It was a win-win: hempSMART gained new formulations and R&D support, while we gained a ready distribution network and a boost in brand visibility. Collaboration has always been in our DNA, and this was a powerful example of how working with like-minded innovators could amplify our impact.
Scaling Up: Internally, these years saw our team grow and our capabilities scale. We onboarded new talent – from formulation chemists to regulatory consultants – to handle everything from product manufacturing to compliance in a fast-evolving regulatory environment. In 2020, hempSMART opened a larger production facility in Florida, enabling us to increase output to meet surging demand.
Our efforts at maintaining high standards earned recognition: by 2021, Inspirational Technologies was being recognized as a leader in hemp-based innovation, with industry magazines featuring our story and calling out our commitment to quality. We also invested in intellectual property, filing patents related to advanced cannabinoid extraction techniques and delivery methods (like a water-soluble CBD nanoemulsion to improve absorption).
This era wasn’t without its challenges, of course. The regulatory landscape, while improved, remained complex – the FDA still hadn’t fully figured out how to categorize CBD products, and we had to stay on top of patchwork state regulations. Public perception, however, continued trending in our favor. By 2022, 60% of Americans had tried CBD and believed in its benefits, reflecting a massive shift in acceptance. What was once fringe had become mainstream, found in everything from gummies and lattes to pain salves. We made sure Inspirational Technologies stood out in this crowded market by doubling down on science and trust – emphasizing evidence-backed uses, avoiding hype, and advocating for sensible regulations to protect consumers. Our reputation for integrity became one of our strongest selling points. [CBD Statis…bes Health]
Highlights 2019–2022: We achieved several key milestones in this growth phase: new product launches (including a popular CBD + herbal adaptogen capsule in 2021), revenue growth that outpaced our projections, and an expanding loyal customer community. We also saw the broader hemp industry flourish, validating our faith in this plant. (U.S. CBD product sales skyrocketed from about $108 million in 2014 to nearly $1.9 billion by 2022, illustrating the boom we were part of.) Inspirational Technologies had firmly established itself — not just as a company selling wellness products, but as an innovator helping to shape an entire industry. [CBD Statis…bes Health]

2023 and Beyond: Embracing a New Frontier

The stage is set for an exciting new chapter. As the metrics above show, the environment in 2023–2025 is remarkably different from a decade ago. Consumer acceptance of hemp remedies is at an all-time high, and the market has grown exponentially. With widespread legality and a mountain of supporting research, cannabinoids are poised to transform mainstream healthcare and wellness. In this context, Inspirational Technologies is embracing a new frontier. Our new direction will leverage everything we’ve learned over the past 12 years and push further to realize the full potential of hemp-based science. Here’s what to expect as we move forward:
1. Pioneering Advanced Therapeutics: The heart of our new direction is a commitment to deeper scientific exploration of cannabinoids and their medical potential. CBD opened the door, and now we’re walking through it with a toolkit of cutting-edge science. We are expanding our R&D to study lesser-known cannabinoids like CBG (cannabigerol) and CBN (cannabinol), which are also derived from hemp but have unique properties. For instance, recent research from Yale University highlighted CBG’s strong potential for pain relief without opioid risks, and ongoing studies suggest CBN may aid sleep. We believe these compounds, especially in synergy (the “entourage effect”), could address health issues that CBD alone hasn’t fully solved. To that end, Inspirational Technologies is initiating clinical collaborations to formally test cannabinoid-based therapies for specific conditions. We’re in discussions with medical centers to launch trials on a CBD-CBG blend for chronic neuropathic pain and on a cannabinoid regimen for anxiety and PTSD. The goal is to move beyond wellness products into the realm of evidence-backed therapeutics – bridging the gap between supplement and medicine. It’s an ambitious step, but it’s aligned with our founding mission of merging nature with advanced science. The scientific promise is truly compelling: studies show cannabinoids might offer safer alternatives to opioids for pain, relieve anxiety without harsh side effects, and even help in neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s. In 2018, the U.S. FDA approved its first CBD-based prescription drug for severe childhood epilepsy, validating that cannabinoids can meet the highest standards of medicine. We foresee a future where cannabinoid therapies are a trusted part of mainstream healthcare, and we want to be at the forefront of that movement. Our new direction prioritizes rigorous research, so doctors and patients can have confidence in the hemp-derived treatments we develop. 2. Emerging Applications in Disease Relief: We are also broadening the applications of our products to target more specific needs. Over the years, customers have shared incredible stories of finding relief with our creams and tinctures – from an athlete’s persistent knee pain easing to an anxious traveler finally enjoying a calm flight. These experiences inspire us to tailor solutions for some of the most prevalent and pressing health challenges. Chronic pain, for example, affects millions and often leads to dependence on painkillers. With cannabinoids showing effectiveness in reducing inflammation and pain signaling, we are formulating targeted pain-relief applications, such as an advanced arthritis cream and oral supplements for inflammatory conditions. Mental health is another focus: anxiety and sleep issues are on the rise, and many are seeking natural relief. We’re exploring blends of CBD with terpenes and botanicals known for calming effects, to support those struggling with stress or insomnia. Early next year, we plan to release a CBD+CBN nightly tincture aimed at improving sleep quality naturally. On the more advanced end, we’re keeping an eye on research that suggests cannabinoids could play a role in serious conditions like cancer. A recent comprehensive study even found evidence that cannabis compounds might help fight certain cancer cells and improve patients’ quality of life. While we remain grounded in science (and such uses will require extensive validation), it underscores a key point: the therapeutic horizon of hemp is still expanding. Our new product roadmap is designed to adapt as new discoveries emerge. If a study finds that a CBD-THC combination (with minimal THC) works best for a given condition, we have the agility and knowledge to formulate accordingly – always within legal bounds. In short, we’re widening our scope from general wellness to targeted solutions for disease relief, driven by what science and our users tell us. [Cannabinoi…ain relief] [New Study…naging …], [New Study…naging …]
3. Market Expansion and Leadership: As we venture into these new arenas, Inspirational Technologies is committed to growing sustainably and responsibly. The hemp and CBD industry is maturing – consolidation is happening, regulations are catching up, and consumers are becoming more discerning. We see this as a positive evolution and aim to be a leader in the next phase of the market’s development. Part of our new direction involves stepping up our role in industry advocacy. We are actively engaging with policymakers and regulatory bodies to help shape commonsense regulations for hemp products. Our stance is that quality and safety standards are needed to weed out bad actors selling mislabeled or impure products. We’re advocating for measures like third-party lab testing requirements, proper labeling, and research-based dosage guidelines. We’re also preparing for the potential regulatory changes ahead. The FDA in the U.S. has hinted at developing a new framework for CBD in dietary supplements or foods, and bipartisan bills in Congress aim to clarify CBD’s legal status further. We welcome clearer regulations, and our team is proactively ensuring that whenever new rules come, we will not just comply but excel under them.
On the market front, we are exploring geographic expansion. Hemp’s acceptance is global now – countries across Europe, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific are embracing hemp CBD as laws evolve. Through the next couple of years, we plan to enter select international markets. We’re already laying groundwork in Canada and the EU, navigating their approval processes to offer our products abroad. Additionally, we’ll continue forging strategic partnerships. Just as our alliance with hempSMART accelerated U.S. growth, we’re eyeing partnerships in new regions (for example, a potential joint venture in Europe with a local wellness company) to bring our expertise to new audiences. At home, as the competitive landscape grows, we differentiate by staying true to science and innovation.
Product innovation remains key: our R&D pipeline includes not only new formulations but also new delivery technologies (imagine a transdermal patch for steady cannabinoid release, or a smart dispenser that gives personalized doses based on an app). Advanced technology – from bioinformatics to AI-driven data analysis – will increasingly inform how we design and validate our products, fulfilling the “advanced science” part of our mission with even greater precision.
Finally, as we look beyond 2025, Inspirational Technologies’ core values stay constant. The resilience, curiosity, and purpose that got us through the past decade will guide us in the next. We envision a future where a person with chronic pain might use a cannabinoid therapy we helped develop instead of habit-forming opioids; where someone with anxiety can find calm through a natural remedy backed by clinical evidence; and where hemp-based innovations contribute to a healthier, more sustainable world. The journey from a startup in 2013 to here has taught us that nature’s solutions and human ingenuity are an unstoppable combination. Our new direction doubles down on that truth. May Day! May Day! Calling for All of Us to Unite, Protest and Pray.

100 Days are 100 ways to Be Prepared to Say, Enough was Enough.

They say, and I concur, that numbers don’t lie. When the truth is in the paper trail, one has to rely on the facts when they are authenticated and validated.

As a means to gauge the impact of the new administration and measure its effectiveness, we Americans look at the first 100 days into the Presidency for historic purposes and notable accomplishments or blunders:

For this writing we are going to use two different ways to create involvement. History and Advocacy are our primary sources for information and understanding about what we are going through and will continue to until understanding prevails.

May Day, day commemoratingthe historic struggles and gains made by workers and the labour movement, observed in many countries on May 1. In the United States and Canada a similar observance, known as Labor Day, occurs on the first Monday of September.

null

In 1889 an international federation of socialist groups and trade unions designated May 1 as a day in support of workers, in commemoration of the Haymarket Riot in Chicago(1886). Five years later, U.S. Pres. Grover Cleveland, uneasy with the socialist origins of Workers’ Day, signed legislation to make Labor Day—already held in some states on the first Monday of September—the official U.S. holiday in honour of workers. Canada followed suit not long afterward.

In Europe May 1 was historically associated with rural pagan festivals (see May Day), but the original meaning of the day was gradually replaced by the modern association with the labour movement. In the Soviet Union, leaders embraced the new holiday, believing it would encourage workers in Europe and the United States to unite against capitalism. The day became a significant holiday in the Soviet Union and in the Eastern-bloc countries, with high-profile parades, including one in Moscow’s Red Squarepresided over by top government and Communist Party functionaries, celebrating the worker and showcasing Soviet military might. In Germany Labour Day became an official holiday in 1933 after the rise of the Nazi Party.

Ironically, Germany abolished free unions the day after establishing the holiday, virtually destroying the German labour movement.

On This Day: May 1Kurt Heintz of Encyclopædia Britannica explores the significance of May 1 as a labour holiday, a day traditionally used to celebrate the return of spring and much else.(more)

With the breakup of the Soviet Union and the fall of communist governments in eastern Europe in the late 20th century, large-scale May Day celebrations in that region declined in importance. In dozens of countries around the world, however, May Day has been recognized as a public holiday, and it continues to be celebrated with picnics and parties while serving as the occasion for demonstrations and rallies in support of workers.

On the other side of the current labor movement, signs of cracks in the economy have emerged that have made some economists nervous and frustrated that the government is overstepping their authority and not giving thought to their actions. Protests over this issue are growing and some analysts say that the administration will “hear from the people”. This is evidenced by this week’s May Day protests given by the free press and speech campaigns as follows.

Standing in Solidarity

A core principle behind our May Day actions is a commitment to nonviolence in all we do. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.

A future that works for working families

This is a war on working people—and we will not stand down. They’re defunding our schools, privatizing public services, attacking unions, and targeting immigrant families with fear and violence. Working people built this nation and we know how to take care of each other. We won’t back down—we will never stop fighting for our families and the rights and freedoms that propel opportunity and a better life for all Americans. Their time is up.

How You Can Help

Why Is Immigration and Due Process an Issue?

2 Recent Presidents, Obama and Trump, were not only the direct descendants of immigrants, but they have been notorious for deportation.

WE ARE THE MANY.

– This is a non partisan issue that has been a topic for many decades – Our United States democracy is based on allowing those seeking refuge in our country to be afforded the freedom to choose their own future. As did our recent 2 former Presidents. –

On October 7, 1885, Friedrich Trump, a 16-year-old German barber, bought a one-way ticket for America, escaping three years of compulsory German military service. He had been a sickly child, unsuited to hard labor, and feared the effects of the draft. It might have been illegal, but America didn’t care about this law-breaking—at that time, Germans were seen as highly desirable migrants—and Trump was welcomed with open arms. Less than two weeks later, he arrived in New York, where he would eventually make a small fortune. More than a century later, his grandson, Donald Trump, became the 45th president of Friedrich’s adopted home. But for decades, Trump denied this German heritage altogether, instead claiming that his grandfather’s roots lay further north, in Scandinavia. “[He] came here from Sweden as a child,” Trump asserted in his co-written book The Art of the Deal. In fact, his cousin and family historian John Walter told The New York Times, Trump maintained the ruse at the request of his own realtor father, Fred Trump, who had obfuscated his German ancestry to avoid upsetting Jewish friends and clients. “After the war,” Walter told the Times, “he’s still Swedish. [The lie] was just going, going, going.” Trump is the son, and grandson, of immigrants: German on his father’s side, and Scottish on his mother’s. None of his grandparents, and only one of his parents, was born in the United States or spoke English as their mother tongue. (His mother’s parents, from the remote Scottish Outer Hebrides, lived in a majority Gaelic-speaking community.)

Friedrich Trump came to the United States amid a flood of Germans—that year alone, an estimated 1 million made the journey to settle in America. It was, the Times reported, “the start of an adventurous life as a barber, restaurateur, saloonkeeper, hotelier, entrepreneur, gold rush prospector, shipwreck survivor and New York real-estate investor.” He married a woman from his German hometown, Kallstadt, where his parents had owned vineyards, and attempted to return home with his fortune.

Photo

But when his draft dodging came to the fore, the couple lost their Bavarian citizenship and were obliged to return to America for good. There, they had three children: Trump’s father, Fred, was the middle child. Born in the Bronx borough of New York City in 1905, Fred Trump was an all-American child who spoke no German. Later, he would become one of the city’s most successful young businessmen, amassing a fortune even as many around him slumped into financial ruin. In the mid-1930s, a young Fred Trump went to a party “dressed in a fine suit and sporting his trademark moustache.” Two Scottish sisters were at that same party in Queens: The younger one, Mary Anne MacLeod, was a domestic worker considering a return to her island homeland. “Something clicked between the maid and the mogul,” write Michael Kranish and Marc Fisher in their biography Trump Revealed. When Trump returned that night to the home he shared with his mother, the authors continued, he made an announcement: He had met the woman he planned to marry.

MacLeod might have been living in poverty in the United States, but her origins were even less palatable. She was the child of a fisherman and subsistence farmer, and the last in a family of 10 children born in the village of Tong on the Scottish Isle of Lewis. “It was not an easy existence,” reports Politico. This vast Gaelic-speaking family lived together in a modest gray pebble-dash house, “surrounded by a landscape of properties local historians and genealogists characterized with terms like ‘human wretchedness’ and ‘indescribably filthy.’” Married to Fred Trump, MacLeod lived a radically different life of fur -coats and 50-foot yachts. In 1942, she became an American citizen and returned only occasionally to her native Scotland, where her son now owns multiple properties. While Friedrich Trump had had moderate success in real estate, he died unexpectedly in a flu pandemic before his 50th birthday, and so did not live to see many of his projects come to fruition. At his death, his net worth was around $510,000 in present-day dollars. Under the Elizabeth Trump & Son moniker, Fred Trump and his mother Elizabeth continued this work, and turned it into a flourishing business. Trump’s international origins make him relatively unusual among American presidents. Of the last 10 presidents, only two—Trump and Barack Obama—have had a parent born outside of the United States. Trump’s own immediate family has been similarly international: Two of his three wives were naturalized American citizens, originally from the Czech Republic and Slovenia. Only one of his five children, Tiffany, is the child of two American-born citizens, while his daughter, Ivanka, is the first Jewish member of the First Family in American history. But so far as his biographers have been able to tell, none of his international roots extends to Sweden.

The Cannabis Industry continues to evolve and Vaping, as a delivery method for consuming cannabis concentrate known for its purity and potency gains popularity.

As the cannabis industry continues to evolve, vaping is making strides as a mainstream method for consuming rosin, a solventless cannabis concentrate known for its purity and potency. Despite a general decline in cannabis concentrate sales from 2021 to 2023, rosin has defied the trend, showing strong market growth.

According to Headset data, while overall concentrate sales dipped, rosin’s market share nearly doubled, indicating a shift in consumer preference towards cleaner, more natural cannabis products.

Suburban Milwaukee school districts ramp up messages on vapingThe Rosin market share soared from $24 million to $44 million, climbing from 6.5% to 16% within the cannabis concentrate segment. This growth propelled it past shatter in 2022, making it the second most dominant type of cannabis concentrate, just behind live resin.Industry Leaders Agree

Around the same time that data was released, industry experts at the 2023 Benzinga Cannabis Capital Conference in Chicago gathered to discuss the future of cannabis consumption, with a particular focus on manufactured products like vapes. Luna Stower, CIO of ISPIRE Technology and upcoming speaker at this year’s Benzinga Cannabis Capital Conference highlighted the increasing consumer shift from traditional flower to vape cartridges and disposables.

“Vaporizing offers numerous advantages over smoking, making cannabis more accessible,” Stower explained. She emphasized the importance of adhering to GMP and ISO standards to avoid regulatory issues, making vapes an appealing option for those new to cannabis.

Challenges And Opportunities in Vape Technology

Despite the growing popularity of vaping, challenges remain in finding vaporizers that can consistently deliver high-quality vaporization effects for live rosin. The complex nature of rosin, rich in terpenes, often leads to clogging issues in ceramic heating elements used in vapes. The industry has yet to overcome these technological hurdles to embrace rosin vapes as a widespread consumption method fully.Manufactured Cannabis Products Gain Traction

The conversation at last year’s conference also shed light on the broader trend of manufactured cannabis products gaining market share. Products like edibles and vapes offer higher margins, efficiency, and ease of use than traditional flower, making them increasingly attractive to consumers and businesses. Automation and technology play vital roles in this shift, enhancing the scalability and cost-effectiveness of manufacturing processes.

As the cannabis industry navigates these evolving consumption trends and technological advancements, vaping stands out as a promising area for growth. The move towards safer, more convenient, and more efficient consumption methods like vaping reflects the changing landscape of the cannabis market and consumer preferences.

The CBD Effect on Cannabis

While Cannabis is a very crucial part of the Marijuana movement, we must remember that CBD is a complex field with ongoing research, legal considerations, and exciting technological advancements.

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a non-intoxicating cannabinoid compound that has been studied for its potential therapeutic effects on various psychiatric disorders 1A systematic review of neuroimaging studies investigating the acute impact of CBD on human brain function found that CBD induces significant alterations in brain activity and connectivity patterns during resting state and performance of cognitive tasks in both healthy volunteers and patients with a psychiatric disorder 1The review also found that acute CBD enhanced fronto-striatal resting state connectivity in healthy volunteers, both compared to placebo and THC 1. Furthermore, CBD modulated brain activity and had opposite effects when compared to THC following task-specific patterns during various cognitive paradigms, such as emotional processing, verbal memory, response inhibition, and auditory/visual processing 1In individuals at clinical high risk for psychosis and patients with established psychosis, acute CBD showed intermediate brain activity compared to placebo and healthy controls during cognitive task performance 1CBD modulated resting limbic activity in subjects with anxiety and metabolite levels in patients with autism spectrum disorders 1. CBD is thought to have neuroprotective effects due to how it interacts with CB2 receptors in the brain. CBD acts on these receptors by creating an anti-inflammatory response in immune cells in the brain. This reduces the amount of damage caused by inflammation in the brain. Oxidation is one of the most common causes of brain tissue damage 2. Inspirational Technologies is likely to be adopting AI on social media to improve the efficiency of their content creation and marketing campaigns. AI-powered tools can help marketers generate new content ideas, optimize social media campaigns, and measure brand and trends across each social media channel 1AI prompts for social media can help marketers overcome creative blocks and generate new post ideas 2AI can also enable personalized recommendations, create more efficient customer service, and analyze data in real-time to help improve overall marketing campaign performance 3. AI tools have taken the world by storm over the last few months, and for good reason. Tasks that used to take hours are now finished in just a few minutes. The results AI tools can produce are blowing people away 2. However, it’s important to note that there are also plenty of examples where AI completely misses the mark. The difference between “omg that’s amazing 😱” and “omg… that’s not right 😐” is usually a well-crafted prompt 2. In conclusion, AI can be a powerful tool for social media marketing, but it’s important to use it wisely and with a human touch. AI can help marketers save time and improve efficiency, but it cannot replace human creativity and empathy 1. Recreational marijuana could be on 2024 Florida ballot!

Recreational marijuana could be on 2024 ballot.

Josh Cascio reports.

TAMPA, Fla. – The Smart & Safe Florida campaign, funded by Trulieve, says it has collected more than one million signatures to legalize the adult use of recreational marijuana in Florida.

That’s more than enough signatures to get on the 2024 ballot, assuming the ballot language is approved by the heavily conservative-leaning state supreme court.

Attorney General Ashley Moody is among those fighting it, saying the court should reject the proposal. Still, this advancement in the process has the pro-legalization side feeling confident.

“I have confidence that it’s going to pass the Supreme Court review. And then really, you know, it’s up to the voters and the people of Florida,” said Michael Minardi, an attorney and Chairman of Regulate Florida.

If the initiative does pass, it would need the approval of at least 60 percent of voters. In 2016, 71 percent of voters approved medical marijuana.

Minardi believes legalization would increase tourism, jobs and create a tax windfall.

Trulieve says it has collected more than 965,000 signatures for the Smart and Safe Campaign to legalize the adult use of recreational marijuana in Florida.

“Absolutely, I would see in excess of, you know, one to two billion dollars the first couple of years of adult use here in the state of Florida,” he said.

On the other hand, opponents say Florida doesn’t need another intoxicant, especially in the hands of kids.

“There’s more problems with abuse and addiction. We need more treatment. So, I think the costs would be much higher than the average voter would know about,” said Ellen Snelling with the Hillsborough County Anti-Drug Alliance. “It’s kind of like marijuana on crack. We do not need this legalized in our state,” she added.

It’s still unclear when the state Supreme Court will make its ruling on the ballot language….

“Happy National CBD Day!” to all those who are inspired! from “Inspirational Technologies” 8/8/2023

August 8, 2022 Inspirational Technologies 1stHempUSA

The Story of Why There is a National CBD Day

National CBD day is a relatively new holiday. It is perhaps inevitable that advocates of the cannabinoid would look to celebrate it. After all, there are many other days throughout the year associated with cannabis.

These include April 20 (the famous 420 Day) and National Cannabis Oil Day, which falls on July 10. It is also called 710 Day.

It seems that 4-20 4:20 4/20 (MJ) and the Storyline behind it’s origin are all in everyday 420 News “High” lights.

On the the other side of our cannabis culture , did you know that the popular Marijuana’s’ co-species counterpart, Cannabinol or “CBD” has itself a National CBD (Hemp) Day?

August 8th. 8/8

Hemp or Cannabidiol, Has A Happy CBD (Hemp) Day

SO – Let’s Get “Flower Power Education” Today

Happy 420 and Happy CBD DAY!

Just how did there become a National CBD Day?

Well, a North Carolina CBD company CbdMD

achieved that in 2018.

In fact, the company also successfully lobbied for a National Hemp Day, which just saw its inaugural celebration on February 4.

CbdMD president Caryn Dunayer says both efforts were inspired by the lack of marketing and advertising available to hemp and CBD companies, which can be ostracized by media platforms and regulators because of their association with marijuana.

“We’ve tried to be strategic and creative in the marketing side,” Dunayer says. “In the cannabis industry, it’s extremely challenging to find traditional marketing. We can’t do SEO [search engine optimization] and social media, so we’ve kind of taken a guerrilla marketing approach. It started with that approach, and then the whole methodology after was trying to get attention to the education side.”

If it’s on a hot dog, then it’s American.

The CBD industry seems to agree with the marketing-before-education approach, with a mountain of deals and promotions offered today,

August 8, in honor of National CBD Day.

However, CBD’s legal status with the federal government isn’t solidified yet, and hemp was just legalized federally in late 2018.

The United States Food and Drug Administration still keeps CBD derived from hemp in a gray area, but considers ingestible products containing CBD illegal, including edibles, drinks and vaporizers.

CBD products face heavy scrutiny outside of states like Colorado, which have legalized recreational marijuana and hemp-infused foods, but that hasn’t stopped companies from making and marketing them, and those companies generally remain out of trouble as long as they don’t make any unsubstantiated health claims about the products. “We try to be as conservative as possible with claims and testimonials, and let real stories talk for themselves,”

Dunayer says. “We saw the value in how much creating a day like this could help the industry. And on the marketing side, selfishly, we can take a little credit.”

For Anderson and his organization, most of the criteria for adding a day comes from society’s acceptance, though he insists that the National Day Calendar committee did its due diligence when considering CBD’s medical efficacy and the reputation of the petitioner, CbdMD.

His organization has only created 200 days during its six and a half years, he says, so it didn’t take adding CBD or hemp lightly.

“There are about 20,000 applications for new days every year. Then there’s a committee of four people who review them, and that needs unanimous approval. Socially, it’s all becoming more accepted, even THC.

But CBD has additional purposes, so it was more about bringing about the awareness,” Anderson says, adding that he looked into National CBD Day’s application himself.

“They do tend to end up where the money leads, but it’s not always that way. Some of them are for the good for the world.

With that said, if you’re going to celebrate a national day about something, then celebrate with it.” Along with celebratory product promotion, Dunayer says that CbdMD will post educational content on its website and social media as part of its National CBD Day campaign.

Colorado companies are doing much of the same. In fact, they already view other national days as opportunities for connecting with customers. “We’re always looking for ways to amplify the message and reach different people to expand the education of CBD,” says Stratos CBD branding executive Kate Heckman.

Stratos has also looked at National Grandparents Day and National Massage Therapy Awareness Week to further promote the brand, she notes, suggesting that other companies in the CBD space should do the same.

“It’s sort of an American thing to commercialize it, but it’s also a reason to educate,” she concludes

Legalization of Cannabis Is Inevitable

There are different routes that U.S. legalization could take. One is the SAFE Banking Act. It initially seemed to be the most likely reform to pass this year, but the act has been held up over concerns that it’s too narrow and financially focused.

Hemp or Marijuana- Safe Banking Act would Help Both Navigate The Legal Business of Cannabis

The Cannabis Administration and Opportunity Act, a more sweeping reform that includes provisions to help communities and individuals harmed by the war on drugs, has a longer path to approval but is favored by some due to its broader reach.

Senator Cory Booker- Senate Majority Leader Chuck Shumer- Senator Ron Widen

On March 31, 2021, following New York legalization under the 2021 Marijuana Regulation and Taxation Act,

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer announced he would soon introduce a federal bill to deschedule cannabis, similar to his 2018 Marijuana Freedom and Opportunity Act.

Sources told Politico and other media that a draft of the bill would be introduced on July 14. On July 14, Senator Schumer introduced a discussion draft of the bill.

In the meantime, stock investors aren’t the only ones seeing opportunities. Cannabis company Canopy Growth Corp. just agreed to pay hundreds of millions of dollars to buy a U.S. maker of marijuana gummies that’s conditional on U.S. legalization.

Canopy Chief Executive Officer David Klein said he sees U.S. liberalization as “inevitable.”
